(More customer reviews)Although I enjoyed this book I suspect it is one which would appeal more to those interested in the mountaineering aspects than those looking for real life medical tales. The author is an experienced mountaineer and describes many of his adventures using technical terms which are not always clear to the unfamiliar. This does detract somewhat for what is an interesting and sometimes thrilling recounting of his rescue missions. On a final note, the slighted stilted text suggests a very literal translation from the french.
