just finished the second book of the trilogy. From the very first sentence the "drug induced" story leaped out, grabbed me, put me in a headlock and kidnapped my attention to the very last page.
a tremendous insight is given the reader into the violent, vicious underworld of heroin production, distribution and "end" use. From a poppy field in India to a teenagers bedroom thousands of miles away, Scott Nelson takes a reader on a wild ride in trains planes and automobiles through a techno-tale bound to hold ones interest. I for one can't wait for book three. Hurry up scott.

"A huge fan of the works of Alistair MacLean, Robert Ludlum and Tom Clancy, I sought to conquer my fear of hypodermic needles and ended up writing two mainstream works of fiction."Surrounded by many subplots, this second novel in the White Monsoon trilogy follows an everyman character tossed into the vortex of an international maelstrom. Seeking to guarantee the allegiance of a US distribution ring leader, the head of the Libyan terrorists demands that the man turn over his three year old daughter and infant son as collateral for the right to distribute his heroin. The ring leader deceives the terrorist leader using the daughter and son of the everyman character, the protagonist. Through sheer determination, the frightened protagonist learns that his daughter and son have been taken to a very modern prison built on a huge cliff high in the Afghani mountains. WARNING: If Liam Neeson grabbed you with his terrific, heart-pounding performance in TAKEN, then you may not be able to put this drugnothriller down. (Incudes a few scenes from the screenplay of Morphine Base) If you want to take someone out of circulation, slip them this book. They'll be gone for awhile.
