Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)Takes you into an Afghanistan we don't here or see. Fiercely loyal and proud people trying to make a better country for their children. Humanitarian aide with assistance from our military. The love shared by Emma and Khalid is profound but restricted by the code of conduct both must follow. There are bad guys, traitors, brutally beautiful locales and a new understanding of the troubles in Afghanistan. If our soldiers do half of what is in the book, we should be extremely proud of how they try to win over the people. And women are kick-butt helo pilots.
If there was more "action" between Emma and Khalid, 5 stars easy.
